Changing gears a little in today’s post to talk about men’s transitional fall items because while I love borrowing some items from the boys (read: oversized flannels, pullovers), I–and I’m sure many of you–really love shopping for the men in your lives. Between fathers, boyfriends, friends, uncles, brothers, etc., why not lend a hand…and some fashion advice?
Since it’s not exactly full-blown chilly outside yet, light jackets, vests, flannels, and vests are the perfect way to transition into September and October. Per usual, I’m all about the staples, especially since many guys tend to not shop as frequently as us ladiez…better to invest in high-quality, timeless things and not worry about having to replace things every year or two. I talked about Onward Reserve earlier this summer and had to share this new button down they’re carrying–all the proceeds benefit CURE Childhood Cancer. While it’s on the pricier side, Onward Reserve’s shirts are incredibly high-quality and a solid investment. My boyfriend loves them and they fit the bill whether you’re looking for something casual or a little dressier.
Some of my favorite men’s retailers include Nordstrom, Brooks Brothers, Tuckernuck, Onward Reserve, and Banana Republic; a solid mix of national chains and smaller businesses that carry boutique brands. What’re yours? And raise your hand if you too love shopping for guys, and/or want to buy all the crewneck and quarter zip pullovers for yourself :)
