White decor. Such an interesting and “controversial” topic when it comes to design…some people love it and some hate it. Stark white decor definitely opens up a space but at times can also appear harsh and forced. I personally am a proponent of mixing white with more traditional tones like wood (both light and dark), gold, and black to create a traditional yet bright and classic space. Which is what brings us here…
This country house? I think it’s perfect for what it is: a country house. I could never see myself living in a home that’s this white + bright…it legit hurts my eyes! And yes, I realize many people would probably beg to differ and covet this all white look. What I do love is the decorative elements that really tie the space together– the gold frames and candlesticks, white bedding, plants, trays (you know how much I love trays), and of course, the natural light.
What are your thoughts on all white everything? Overkill or dreamy? Some fun decorative picks are below, but if you’re looking for little commitment/investment, try white flowers (like hydrangeas)!
