Friday Things

Happy MID-NOVEMBER, friends! Literally, how? I’ll be cliche and say that 2015 has flown by, and I dare you to disagree. It’s beyond me how we’re in the middle of November, but it’s my favorite time of year so I’ll go with it.

Keeping it short and sweet today…have a great weekend, and stay tuned for more gift guides and holiday content in the coming weeks :)

READING: I started this book and love it… a light read on what is probably my all-time favorite couple. Highly recommend!

THIS WEEK: The highlight of this week was last night’s Washingtonian On The Rocks, which makes for a very sleepy Monica (up way past my bedtime writing this!) but worth it for the best time with a few of my blogger friends. Remember what I said in this post? Blog friends = real life friends :)

WEEKENDING: It’s a big birthday weekend! A couple brunches + a couple dinners = a true start to the busy holiday season. No complaints… follow along on Instagram! Oh, and more gift guides are coming your way!

SHOPPING: Don’t forget the Nordstrom sale (my picks here), BaubleBar has 30% off personalized jewelry, and I LOVE this cape for under $100.

This year’s Mulberry commercial is pretty great. Worth the watch! Also, I’ve been coveting a Mulberry bag for years and can’t wait to get my hands on one.

Katie turns 25 this weekend (happy birthday, friend! Love you!) and shared some thoughts on the milestone. As a fellow 25 year old, I can certainly relate.

Your daily dose of cute.

– I want to make these mini apple pies, these brownie cookiesthese nachos, and these palmiers ASAP.

– As an avid Trader Joe’s shopper, I love hearing other people’s favorite purchases. Definitely trying out some of Annie’s list in coming weeks!

– Has anyone else noticed the decline in hobbies? This piece nails it… blogging has become one of my favorite hobbies (more than that, really!) and I only hope others have something equally fulfilling.

Love this outfit on Mackenzie.

ICYMI: Kicked off gift guides with gifts for the workout junkie and for the hostess, wearing this casual fall look on repeat, and a super simple holiday DIY.
