Hope you all had a nice weekend (and lucky you if you have today off, too!). I spent most of it indoors after getting a chemical peel on my face…basically a facial administered by a dermatologist. Basically it’s #peelinglikecrazy over here but the result should be worth it! If you were in the path of the hurricane, hope things ok in your neck of the woods.
Onto this outfit that I reallyyy love. It’s only fitting to come back from a cool rainy weekend with an ensemble for just that…a cool rainy day.
If you haven’t heard me rave about the current L.L. Bean sale, here you go: they’re doing 20% off your purchase of $50+ with code SAVE20, including Bean Boots. Which are ALWAYS excluded! This is a great time to pick up a pair before they’re backordered for months; here’s my handy little guide to figuring out what pair is best for you.
Since I’m a broken record re: boots, we can move on to the L.L. Bean Signature Fisherman Tunic Sweater, which is equally swoon-worthy. You may remember the regular one from earlier in this year…as much as I love that one, I’d recommend this more for it’s snugger fit and longer length. Note that unlike the regular one, it runs really large…I’m wearing an XS and have a L in the other style. This is more appropriate to wear with leggings (honestly, looking back, I hate the way I wore the other one in that post) and has subtle little zippers on the bottom of each side.
I’m just wearing a tee underneath, but you could layer this over a button down for a preppier look. Even at 20% off it’s definitely a little pricey for a cotton sweater (the Signature line tends to be; it’s less outdoorsy and more for everyday wear), but rest assured it’s worth it thanks to the quality, versatility, and warmth: three verrrrry important things this time of year!
