This is definitely one of the most awkward times of year to shop, especially if you’re like me and like a good bargain but would still rather shop for fall than summer. The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is on Monday (more on that to come) but other than that, I’m in complete fall mode save for any exceptional summer sale that comes across my radar.
Anyway, I’ve rounded up some pieces that mostly fall into the wear now/wear later category, and they’ll stick with you for years to come because they’re pretty timeless and versatile (the best kind of investment!). Everything except this blazer is under $100 and you can consider this my first wishlist as summer winds down!
Lisi Lerch earrings: I love Lisi Lerch earrings (and have this pair and this pair) and these make a statement in a big, great way! They’d be really good for weddings, the holidays, or a night out–gold earrings are the best since they go with everything!
J.Crew blazer: A classic, statement blazer that’s definitely too warm for August but something to keep an eye on as you fill fall wardrobe gaps! Easy to dress up or down…you can wear it to work or off duty with jeans.
Sam Edelman flats: Anyone else really hard on their shoes? My flats take the biggest hit since a comfortable pair is good for commuting, and I’m in need of a new black, pointed toe pair.
L.L. Bean bag: If you saw my Instagram the other day, it probably won’t surprise you that I love the color forest green. I actually have this bag in maroon (c/o) and love it…it’s so spacious and very well-made. It wears as you use it but in a really cool kind of, rustic way.
J.Crew shirt: A fun spin on a basic tee! A great price, too.
Mural blazer: Can you believe this blazer is under $100?! It looks so pretty and expensive (hopefully it’s just as good in-person!) and a gray blazer is surprisingly versatile…I love navy pants, but always have issues matching things to it when I don’t want to wear white or navy on navy. Enter: gray!
Lake Pajamas: Pretty sure I’ve talked about Lake Pajamas before, but they’ve been on my radar for months and I really want to splurge on them. My mismatched t-shirts and boxers are great, but a matching set (especially a high-quality one!) would be even better :)
Julie Vos earrings: I finally bought a little pair of Julie Vos hoops (sadly they aren’t online anymore) after seeing Laura in hers a few weeks ago. The small size is so dainty and versatile–I’ve been wearing them nearly as often as my pearl studs, which is saying something!
