Popping in with a quick, inexpensive, and easy gift idea for the season–holiday-themed rice krispie treats! I recently rediscovered how much I like this childhood favorite and thought of how simple it would be to throw together as a homemade gift this time of year.
I just used this recipe and topped the whole batch with a generous helping of green and red sprinkles. Make sure you add the sprinkles immediately after transferring the mix into the pan and gently push them down so they’ll stick into the marshmallow as the krispies cool.
Once they’re completely cooled, slice them up, put them into a little cellophane bag, and tie with some seasonally appropriate string or jute twine. So, so simple! We actually served the rice krispies during our housewarming last weekend and they were all gone by the end of the night–I’ll definitely be making them again next time we have a large group over and for future potlucks/BBQs!
