Friday Things

In case you missed it, today marks five days at home with Millie! I was lucky enough to work from home this week but man, it has not been the easiest…puppies are a handful! All things considered, she’s been really good. It’s clear she’s getting more adjusted and has started getting more confident (i.e. trying her luck and seeing what she can get away with) so we’re taking it day by day :) I’m going to do a full blog post on her soon, so stay tuned.

Unsurprisingly, my week pretty much just revolved around Millie. I did get in a yoga and OTF class and went to dinner to celebrate Jenn’s birthday last night (if you ever make it to Lupo Verde, which you should, their meat + cheese plates can’t be missed)–we’re really hoping Millie starts kind of adjusting to being alone because so far, you can literally hear her yelps from down the hall. We’ll be out of the house more this weekend and it breaks my hear to hear her cry, even though this is all part of the process. And somehow, it’s going to be 94 degrees tomorrow and I’m not into it. Spring…sorry I said I liked fall best. Can you come back? Have a great one, friends!

OF NOTE…

A great family room renovation–I want that couch!

Trader Joe’s started a podcast and I’ve listened to one episode so far…add it to your queue if you’re a fan of the brand, or are curious about the hype.

Ashlee shared their whirlwind four day food tour in Italy and I want to follow her exact itinerary!

Was anyone else confused about H&Ms’ red carpet outfits at the Met Gala? Here’s why.

Two experts in the field answer some random blogging-related questions…a must-read if you’ve got a blog!

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s townhouse is so cool.

How Victoria schedules her day…this was one of my favorite posts of this kind! I think everyone can take away a couple of tips (she’s seriously so efficient with her days, it’s impressive) whether or not you work from home.

Baklava is one of my favorite desserts but I’m weirdly always intimidated by the thought of making it from scratch…this recipe makes it look so easy!

SHOPPING:

I wish I could justify another sweater because I’ve been eyeing this one and it’s on sale for under $40!

This top in navy is currently in my closet–it’ll be perfect for work, drinks, dinner, and everything in between.

If midi dresses are your thing (I haven’t gotten into the cropped style and would either go long or shorter), this gingham one is gorgeous!

A cute PJ set.

I don’t buy new swimsuits very often but couldn’t resist this one–Liberty London prints are the prettiest!

A cotton-linen blend tank (the best summer combination) that won’t break the bank and is blue and white striped–win win win! Here’s a short sleeve one, too–I’m going snag it because I wear as much t100% cotton as possible during the summer months.

Shoes known for their comfort aren’t always the cutest, but these wedges are very much an exception. I want to try a pair!

Ted Baker makes the prettiest dresses and I want them all! #moneytreeplease

A heeled summer sandal that goes with everything.

ON THE BLOG:

Why last Sunday was the best ever.

How we managed to travel so much this spring (complete with a cost breakdown).

20+ cute wedding dresses under $200.

Four easy weeknight dinners we make regularly.

Recapping our quick trip to San Francisco–plus, how to see some of the city’s best sites sans crowds!
