Recap: Holiday Spark Party

Spark Party!

Spark Party!

This past weekend, Dana and I co-hosted a Spark Party at my apartment. (Note: You may remember this post from earlier this year…same thing!) Jillian of Sweet & Spark lets people around the country host these fun parties where friends can come shop from a selection of her vintage jewelry, mingle, and nibble on some snacks and drinks. I love how timeless and generally simple the jewelry is… as someone who loves classic pieces, most things really hit the jackpot in my book. The Spark Party concept is really pretty simple. Jillian sends over all the jewelry and logistical stuff, and you take care of the invites and food. All the details can be found here; I highly recommend it! More details (and an outfit photo!) after the jump…

Since this was a stop-in-on-a-Saturday-afternooon kind of thing, we opted for a variety of finger food, mimosas (obviously, because brunch time) and a make your own hot chocolate bar. This worked out well, as guests grazed on mini quiches, a cheese plate, cookies, mini muffins, brie & apple bites, et al. while browsing the jewelry. While the hot chocolate bar was a little more involved, I can’t recommend it enough! The Capital Candy Jar graciously provided an assortment of handmade flavored marshmallows, all of which totally hit the spot. Guests added a combination of Orange Cream, Salted Caramel, and Raspberry flavored ‘mallows (is that a thing?) to their hot chocolate. Sounds delicious, right? It was.

If I could shop vintage jewelry and eat yummy hors d’oeuvres every weekend, I totally would! Dana and I had lots of fun hosting – thanks to everyone who came out!
