I’m excited to share the first post from my trip to Thailand! My parents and I took advantage of the time off I had before starting my new job and planned a sort of last minute trip. A recap of what we did is coming, but I wanted to start with this outfit/a peek at the beach by our hotel in Phuket. Basically it was between 90-100ºF with really high humidity for our entire trip, so breezy dresses, light tank tops, and shorts made up most of my suitcase. An exception? This dress.
We spent a total of eight days in Thailand–about half in Bangkok and half in Phuket. This dress quickly became one of the best things in my suitcase…I wore it to dinner in both places, as every indoor space had the AC blasting at an uncomfortably cold temperature. Take my word for it: pack a 3/4 sleeve dress on all vacations! It also doubles as a coverup if you’re shielding yourself from the sun (I have my swimsuit on underneath in these photos!).
Persifor’s dresses don’t wrinkle much and they’re machine washable, which are huge for traveling! That + the tropical print/beachy vibe made it great for this trip. Shirt dresses also seem to be everywhere this season…if you’re in the market, this style (the Winpenny) comes in a bunch of prints and transitions really well from desk to drinks if your office dress code leans more casual on the biz cas scale. I also have one of the Smitty dresses and am ready to add another to my wardrobe–a few of my favorites are linked below! Size wise, I have a small in both dresses…the the Smitty is more snug, while the Winpenny is much roomier.
My mom snapped these photos at our hotel in Phuket. The beach was small since the property is on a bay and the water was a sort of murky/rocky when the tide went back, but it was still gorgeous. I’d say she did a pretty good job shooting for her first time doing outfit posts!
