Does anyone else agree that post-Super Bowl Monday is consistently the worst Monday of the year? If you watch the game till the end, you basically know you’re going to the week exhausted…it’s always worth it but man, I’m v. jealous of those of you who can go to bed on a full stomach + function on less than eight hours of sleep :) We had a few people over last night and cooked up a storm–including the yummiest sliders that will be on the blog on Wednesday!
Onto the fun stuff…we’re at that point where most people have probably given up shopping for winter and have turned the focus to spring. Honestly, this is the time of year where it’s easiest for me not to shop at all, because I’ll usually only spring for something that’s on major sale since I haven’t pulled out spring/summer clothing and typically assess that inventory before making any new purchases. That being said, I’ve picked up a couple of great pieces lately–and am going to continue sharing my favorite flats with you guys because they’re nearly sold out everywhere but are on major sale–and have also had my eye on a couple things.
I saw my coworker wearing this sweater a few weeks ago ordered it immediately after returning to my desk–it’s the perfect length and I’ve been wearing it to work (with black pants) and on the weekends (with leggings). I have it in black but it comes in so many colors! L.L. Bean released some new arrivals and this funnelneck sweatshirt caught my eye…it’s really simple but looks so cozy and is a great length to wear with leggings. They do basics so well and I need to remind myself that it doesn’t mean I need to buy every single new pullover that hits the website :)
Katie gchatted me this dress last week and it took so much self control not to pick one up for myself…it would be perfect for special occasions or weddings year-round! This version is on sale in limited sizes.
And I’m totally a broken record re: these Corso Como flats, but I’m convinced they’re going to be discontinued soon because the stock online seems minimal and the few I’ve seen are marked down. I have them in black (and actually got a second pair for when the first bites the dust), red, and light pink (see them in action) and am convinced that everyone needs a pair (or two). I’ve always found Corso Como shoes to be incredibly comfortable and a great value for the price!
IN THIS POST:
Halogen Bow Back sweater
L.L. Bean funnelneck pullover
Corso Como flats (on sale; size down a half size if you’re in doubt; they stretch)
Migonne Gavigan earrings (on sale!)
L.L. Bean AirLight pullover
I pretty much never impulsively splurge on anything, but had to order these Migonne Gavigan earrings the second I saw them. They’re works of art and I know they’ll be a staple for dressing up basics and weddings for years to come, especially since they’re insanely lightweight. Lucky for you, they’re also an additional 25% off what I paid for them! A heads up that shipping is a bit steep (literally my biggest pet peeve…I mean why, they weigh like nothing) but it’s worth it if you’re looking to treat yourself. This style also comes in a couple other colors and a bunch of others are on sale, too!
Last but not least, another new L.L. Bean find to round up the group–love this athletic pullover, especially in the red currant color, which is funny since I’m typically preferential to neutrals. It’s also moisture wicking and has UV protection. Perfect for outdoor workouts and going to and from the gym!
