Friday Things

TGIF! I’m so happy it’s Friday–we have a great weekend ahead! Tonight and Sunday will be really low key, but we have a packed day tomorrow with Millie’s grooming appointment, a visit to the Everlane Cashmere Truck + lunch at Union Market, and a cookie decorating/holiday gathering with friends. I’m also planning on getting in some cheesy holiday movies (more on this below) and working on my last few gift guides. Kristyn hosted our monthly supper club on Wednesday, we had our building’s holiday party yesterday, and I’m yet again reminded just how much I love this time of year. Hope you guys have a great one, and stay safe–but also enjoy snow–if you’re in the path of the impending storm!

+ I haven’t been into committing to many TV series over the past couple of years, but we got on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel train a few weeks ago and I can’t wait to start season two this weekend! It’s one of the best shows I’ve watched in awhile and is just so different–in a good way–than anything else I’ve seen lately. We also binge-watched Bodyguard  and loved that, too. It’s an easy one to start and finish in a weekend!

+ Diana wrote a great piece on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, it’s history, and it’s role in 2018.

+ Serena recommended Condé Nast’s Travelogue podcast to me a few months ago and I listened to a couple of episodes but went back to my go-tos. I’ve recently started back on it, though, and highly recommend it if you like to travel or

+ If you watch as much Netflix and Lifetime movies as I do this time of year, you’ll love Jenn’s 25 Days of Netflix Christmas Movie checklist. I need to do a recount but definitely have some work to do. I watched A Dog Walker’s Christmas last night!

+ My friend Liz makes this salad often, and I always re-fall in love with it–especially the dressing! It’d be perfect for potlucks, dinners, and even Christmas dinner (and the dressing recipe yields lot of leftovers!)

+ A great interview with my friend Riley, one of the most talented artists! It’s been so fun watching her career really take off so quickly, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for 2019! Giver her a follow on Instagram :)

I still have a few holiday gift guides left to do and plan to have them up by mid-next week!

+ Best gifts for people who live in small spaces

+ Hostess gift ideas (many of which are great year-round!)

+ My own wishlist

+ Gift ideas around $100

+ Coffee table + cookbooks

+ For your coworkers (lots of budget ideas!)

+ For men
