Happy 2019! I hope you had a nice holiday and enjoyed a few days off from “real life,” and indulged to your heart’s content. We got back from a week in Massachusetts on Saturday and spent the rest of our time off relaxing, cleaning/purging, cooking, and having a few friends over for NYE. We also saw Mary Poppins Returns yesterday and I loved it!
On Sunday, we met up with Charlotte as part of my Christmas gift to J. We had literally photo of us + Millie (in seven months!) so when Charlotte mentioned she’d be in the area for the holidays, I coordinated a little photoshoot and surprised him with the plan on Christmas morning. Charlotte and I met a few years ago when she was living in DC, and her blog has given me food envy from the start. Her photos have always been exceptionally good and I’m so excited that she recently started taking on clients! Her specialities are couples and pets so she was ready to take on Millie’s puppy tendencies 😊 We couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out, and I was happy to get a few solo shots in for the blog, too!
A quick note on this outfit: I was debating the J.Crew 1988 Rollneck sweater for awhile and sprung for it when it was included in the Black Friday Weekend sales (it’s typically exempt from discount codes). I haven’t been shopping much lately but it’s probably the best thing I’ve bought from the Crew in awhile, both fit and quality-wise. You can kind of see my t-shirt underneath around the arms but that was user error on my part…the sleeves aren’t too tight, the length isn’t too cropped, and the neck isn’t stifling. The sweater comes in a bunch of colors and if you’re on the fence about it, I truly think it’s worth the full price!
I’m heading back to work today and have to admit that I’m grateful it’s a short week! We still have so much organizing to do since we’re getting a new piece of furniture in tomorrow (stay tuned!) and I’m finally getting back on the workout bandwagon with a HIIT class tonight. Hope everyone has a great start to the new year!
