We’re in the thick of summer and my sandal collection is working in overdrive! While I love a good (low) heeled pair, I wear my flats styles the most and have had to be really picky about what I reach for lately given some foot and leg pain that developed over the past year. None of these are that supportive (though the Sarah Flint pair has been praised for it’s comfort when walking long distances) so I usually reach for sneakers when I’m walking around two miles or more. That being said, I’ve been impressed by the comfort on all of them–hence why they’re the four pairs of sandals I wear regularly!
Jack Rogers Whipstitched Flip Flop // I can’t tell you how much I’ve worn my Jacks over the past few years…I’ve completely worn out a couple of pairs and currently have these in white and gold in my closet. They go with everything and offer a classic, preppy touch to everything from shorts and a t-shirt to a dressy sundress. The break-in process can take a few wears but they soften quickly! They’re worth it at full price but if you can, wait for a sale–I’ve snagged them for as low as $60 a few times!
Everlane ‘Day Crossover’ // I wore these in this post and if you’re looking at getting into slides this summer, really can’t recommend them enough! You can catch my full commentary over here but the reviews have been pouring in on the Everlane site and are overwhelmingly positive as well. They come in a few colorways and as is the case with most everything they make, the quality for the price is great.
Sarah Flint ‘Grear’ // These are the newest addition to my sandal collection and they’ve already very much earned their keep! I posted about them on Instagram last night but they were a splurge that I’d considered for awhile and decided to spring for after needing a comfortable sandal that was stylistically different from my Jacks. The construction is incredible and I love that the (women-owned!) brand is direct to consumer so you’re getting Italian-made footwear at a more accessible price point. Their heels keep being compared to much pricier designer brands and are created with comfort technology that’s masked by the classic, polished silhouette. Great news: They do have a referral program so if you’re interested in buying your first pair of SF shoes, you can use my link for $50 off!
J.Crew Factory ‘Easy Summer Slide’ // I got these a couple of years ago and am honestly shocked at how well they’ve held up. We all know J.Crew’s quality has been hit or miss as of late but these are well worth it, especially at $19.50 like they are now! I wore them regularly (and commuted in them several times a week) for a few months but now keep them at my desk since I’m usually in jeans, shorts, or casual dresses at work. They go with everything and are comfortable! I don’t recall them taking any breaking in–which was surprising with the bands up top.
