Not the best picture, but I snapped it this morning–our place faces north and gets spotty light this time of day. It may not be photo-friendly, but it’s gorgeous in-person!
So funny story on today’s post…I actually had most of it drafted during a similar Serena & Lily sale back in March, but couldn’t finish it in time and didn’t end up publishing it. Well good news–they’re having a sitewide sale right now and a bunch of our favorite pieces from our apartment (we get asked about them constantly) are available!
We have the side cart and bar stools (seen here and here) and LOVE them. Both are definitely a splurge but are items we’re planning to keep indefinitely. We got our bar stools for nearly half off over two years ago as they were being discontinued in the red, but based on our experience of having had them for nearly two years, I’d absolutely splurge on them during an sitewide Serena & Lily sale if we had to buy them again. The side cart is currently functioning as a storage-friendly side table in the living room and houses coffee table books at the bottom and a lamp + coasters up top. It’s one of the most versatile pieces we own and would work just as well as a nightstand, bar cart, or storage cart anywhere in a home.
Use code GOCOASTAL through Monday (7/8) to take 20% off your entire Serena & Lily purchase–I’ve included our barstools and side cart along with a few other favorites below!
P.S. Recent decor updates.
WHAT TO BUY IN THE SERENA & LILY SALE
The beloved side cart…they make a larger version, but this one is cheaper and is still generously sized. It holds an impressive amount of weight, too!
Best.barstools.ever. Seriously…I’m so picky with my chairs and hate sitting on stools with no backs. Everyone who comes over raves about how comfortable these are and I’ve joked that they need to say “Serena & Lily” on them somewhere because people ALWAYS ask where they’re from!
Anyone else think shower curtains are really underrated? If you have a liner, they’ll last for years and make such a statement–particularly in a small bathroom. I love the tassels on this one and the number of color options available!
I can’t wait till the day we have a full-time dining table (instead of our folding table that’s stored away when we aren’t hosting) because mats like this are gorgeous! They’d be perfect with plain white plates and would double as trivets, too.
The coffee table version of our side cart…I wouldn’t put both in the same room, but love how light this is and that it has the whole second level for storage. The only downside is you’d probably want to be pretty gentle with it if you’re someone who uses your coffee table heavily (we eat at ours, so I personally wouldn’t buy this) but if you’re looking for a more decorative piece, I think this would be perfect.
I’ve given throw blankets as gifts several times and think they make great gifts, particularly if they’re more indulgent than someone would typically buy themselves! This one fits the bill–it’s under $100 on sale and comes in four colors!
This would be perfect if you’re looking for a bar cart or side cart with maximum storage capacity! I’d put books on one shelf, barware on another, and bottles on the top (or leave the top mostly empty if using it as a side table). Like the South Seas cart we have, I love how versatile this is and how well it’d work in multiple places within the home to make it a worthwhile investment piece.
