Thank You + A Giveaway!

Dudley Stephens Brighton Boatneck

Today’s post is a fun one…I’m giving away a $150 Dudley Stephens gift card over on Instagram! It’s no surprise how much I love the brand (as evidenced here, here, and here, just to name a few) and am teaming up with two lovely ladies I’ve met via Insta, Claire and Shamika, to gift one lucky winner a gift card to pick a Dudley of her choice. Whether you’re adding trying them for the first time, adding a new one to your collection, or shopping for a loved one, I’m hoping this brightens someone’s day! ENTER BY TOMORROW (11/19) NIGHT AT 11:59PM!

Before I delve into a couple outfit-related things, I just wanted to thank you all for making this blog one that you visit! I’ve been writing it for over six years and while there have been some programming changes along the way–namely going from five posts a week to three, sometimes fewer depending on my other workload–it never ceases to amaze me that there is a little community here! It feel like all people do is talk about Instagram these days but any blogger with a website will tell you that our own URL is where it’s really at…it’s the only thing we actually own and have full control over, not to mention the only thing that’s remained constant for content sharing while the popularity of certain social media platforms has ebbed and flowed. As we get into gift guides, the holidays, and wedding content I just wanted to say thanks for reading, commenting, emailing, and following–simply put, it really means a lot that you take the time to come to this site. I have a few exciting changes to put into effect, including a mini site redesign and a newsletter, so stay tuned for that post-holidays!

Onto the outfit! We snapped these pictures on our way to brunch yesterday and I’m glad we did, because it’s the exact combination I’ve worn on repeat this season–probably five or six times! I bought these flats three years ago and reach for them at least once a week this time of year. While I don’t think they’re comfortable for walking around all day, they do the trick for around a mile or two and are the pair I also end up leaving at my desk at work for days I commute in sneakers. They must be popular because J.Crew Factory still sells them so if you’re looking for a pair of dressier leopard flats that won’t break the bank, I can’t recommend them enough!

This Dudley fleece is the Brighton Boatneck and I have three–two in the vello fleece and one in the terry fleece. I wear the latter year-round since it’s lighter, but reach for my vellos in cooler temperatures. I’m consistently a size medium regardless of the style and recommend sizing up if you’re broader up top or have a larger chest. Drop a note below if you have a question about styles or sizing!
