Friday Things

Phew! What a couple of weeks it’s been! I had some really good content ideas queued up and then we got engaged, so I threw what I could onto the back burner and spent whatever “work” time I could on my freelance clients and just let the blog slip to enjoy this exciting time. I’m going to be sharing our engagement and wedding content but haven’t decided exactly how yet…so stay tuned on that front. This is my favorite time of year to blog so some recipes, gift-related content, outfits, and a fun giveaway will be coming at you soon!

My bff was in town from New York last weekend and some of our good friends came in from Philly for a night, so I finally unplugged a bit and had the best time toasting with them. We relaxed a lot and I simultaneously got back into a workout routine, and then the Nats won the World Series on Wednesday night (!!!). Then there was a bit of a crazy travel day getting to Florida this weekend that included unexpectedly spending the night in Atlanta and ending the trip with a two hour rental car drive that got us in yesterday afternoon, about 18 hours later than originally planned. Anyhow, we’re here till tomorrow and I’m doing my best to thrive in the 90+ degree, humid climate–something we all know is not my strong suit :) A few links I’ve loved are below–have a great rest of your weekend!

+ I would love to have a good lasagna recipe on hand and this one from Julia (it’s her dad’s!) looks incredible, not to mention pretty quick to throw together.

+ A tour and story behind Jenna Bush Hager’s beautiful Long Island home. Holy decor inspo!

+ Meiwah was one of our go-to Chinese spots so I was really bummed when it closed a few months ago! Turns out Boston’s Tatte is filling the space I am jazzed. It’s always been so packed whenever we tried to go in Boston so I’m excited to try it and hope it lives up to the hype!

+ Carly always finds the best food spots–bookmarking this post for a future trip to Paris!

+ Katie followed the lead of a recent Bad on Paper podcast episode and shared her travel preferences–I love posts like this and it reminds me why she and I travel so well together!

+ Has anyone else noticed dressers disappearing from hotel rooms? I’ve noticed this and thought I was going crazy!

+ How Bud Light capitalized on the “beer guy” moment during the World Series.

+ A long overdue tour of my closet.

+ Life lately, including my new hobby and a great discount code.

+ An outfit I’ve worn on repeat lately.

+ Nothing makes me happier than being able to spread the word about my talented friends–meet Serena!
