Popping in for one last post before the new year to share an incredibly simple yet festive cocktail if you’re playing bartender this year! I didn’t have any on hand at the time, but you could easily add cranberries or a spring of rosemary to make things visually festive for the holiday. These go down a little too easily so proceed with caution…! If you love finding excuses to use coup glasses and are looking for a martini alternative, this cocktail will totally do the trick. (My glasses are a few years old from Sloans & Kenyon–highly recommend if you’re in the DMV and love to hunt for treasures–but I linked some other coupes below.)
Hope you have a safe, happy holiday despite the circumstances this year! Cheers to a much needed fresh start in 2021 :)
Orangey Gin Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 oz gin I prefer Hendricks, but any good one will do
- 2 oz prosecco
- 1/4 oz Grand Marnier
- Lemon peel
Instructions
-
In a cocktail shaker or glass that's easy to pour from, add all three ingredients and stir gently to combine.
-
Pour cocktail into coup or champagne glass.
-
Garnish with lemon peel. (I gently rub the peel together between my fingers to release extra flavor, and give it a swipe on the edge of the glass before adding it to the cocktail.)
